So good, man. I get two a month at best. And I’ve been reading my whole life. BTW this sub got me into Toni Morrison big time. Keep the recs coming!

I love hearing that!

My biggest pet peeve is when people leave scathing reviews of books they dnf'd on Goodreads. Even if I didn't like the book I'm like, how can you know what this book was lacking if you didn't finish it?

That part too

On the other hand, I had a friend who carried around Camus' The Rebel long after he'd finished reading it.

The paperback edition he owned had the title emblazoned across the top of the book in square red letters and it turned out that if he shoved it face out into his back right jean's pocket, the top of the book and the words "The Rebel" stood out like a billboard.

He signaled his status as a reader of serious politics and philosophy, his love of Camus, and his status as a rebel in one fell swoop. --All while sauntering nonchalantly away from you.

At least your friend has read it! So if someone starts a conversation he’s equipped to have one 😂

I have that edition lol and it does fit nicely in a back pocket…. Books can be a great accessory! I’d probably just get a t-shirt of the cover tho…
