I love your takes even if I don't agree with them. I rewatched JWR this last Monday and I enjoyed it even more than the first time around. My other favorite JP movie is part 3, because I enjoy the "We went to an island full of dinosaurs and now we gotta get out" story devise. Truth be told I was never a big JP fan. I thought it was fun and all but I didn't care about the lore. I also enjoyed the "people are so jaded, they are no longer impressed by dinosaurs" storyline. It doesn't work perfectly but it's a great way to criticize humanity's basic-ness. But everything you said was right, it just didn't bother me at all.
