Oh Ira, I thought you sharing your realization that you are not for the soft life because of the text delay... so vulnerable, such beautiful way of describing how times have changed communication, and I related so much. We can move with the times and keep up with technology and still acknowledge that our hearts sometimes need more.
Soft life (like so many things on social media) seems like a neutered and flat existence that fits well into the mold of social media, but collapses pretty quickly under the weight of reality. Bravo for not trying to chase a mirage
